Using the below image as a base/outline, we will be creating our own crazy rabbit, inspired by the new Chinese New Year sign- The Rabbit!
The reason why it is called 'crazy eyes' is that we are changing and personalising our rabbits to have its own eyes, to give it some character and personality.
Your picture will not be coloured the same as the one below, or the person sitting next to you. You will be choosing different colours to further personalise your rabbit.
Other things to consider...
You may experiment with changing the teeth (shape, gap, size etc)
You may accessorise your rabbit (bowtie, tie, moustache, hair bow, earrings, tattoos etc- but all must be drafted on scrap paper first to ensure it looks good being placed on your final design.
You may change the ears (shape, fold, how big/small etc.)
You may have your rabbit eating something (drinking a beer, or smoking something will not be accepted...)
Remember- your rabbit's outline/ silhouette will be the same as the below image. We are just personalising for our own images.
Colouring in-
Using our pencil shading skills, we will be using colours in a fading technique. Similar to the above image and the attached smaller images below.
All of these images used paint or oil pastel, but today we are working on your shading techniques, using pencil. We will be applying these techniques down the track when using other mediums, so this will be great practise for you.
Crazy Eye Examples
Below is some example cartoon crazy eyes for you to work with. If you do not like any of the below, you may browse the net for a cartoon version that suits your bunny more.
Do NOT waste too much time deciding and experimenting with crazy eyes 2-3 examples of practise should be sufficient.
