Immigration means people moving from their native regions into another country to live. People who immigrate are called immigrants. Some are illegal immigrants. Some immigrants are refugees and some ask for political asylum.
If someone were to immigrate to Australia, they would have to apply to become a resident. If the person is accepted, they will receive a permanent residency. This residency is a piece of evidence stating that the person is trying to legally stay within the country's borders. The person usually must keep the permanency for at least three years in order to become a citizen of Australia.
Immigrant and emigrant both describe human migration. The same people are emigrants when they leave their own country or region, and immigrants when they arrive somewhere else. The phrases "many people emigrated from Europe in the 19th century to Australia" and "many people immigrated to Australia from Europe in the 19th century" have the same meaning.

An interview transcript is written in the first person... As if the person/character being interviewed is speaking from their own experiences, stories and opinions.
With your responses in front of the camera, you will be adopting the person's character who you have researched.
The transcript is almost like a 'script' that we are writing prior to the interview and we will follow this when speaking on camera.
The writing needs to be casual and not formal (like a persuasive text). You will be responding as if you are having a 'chat' with the interviewer.
