Why is The Arts SO Important in Education?
Arts Education is process driven, with an emphasis on creativity and skill building. We focus on enhancing students ability to investigate, problem solve, build personal and social capabilities and increase investment and ownership over their work.
Rather than working towards a final outcome, process driven arts education focuses on exploring techniques, trial, error, testing hypotheses and learning new skills similar to science inquiry skills in the Western Australian Scope and Sequence.
It is NOT about a final performance...It is about the creativity and problem solving along the way!
