In the style of a Ted Talk we will be presenting the school with an item that will blow Winthrop's sock's off!
Our Ted Talk will be on...
You may have seen the below clip of young Molly Wright presenting her idea's on 'Thrive by Five'. A Ted Talk to help adults understand the importance of 'play' for young children's development.
Watch the below clip for an idea on how she present's her material in a really captivating and articulate manner. Till 2:15 should give you an idea of how well she presents her information.
Our assembly item will use the style of a captivating talk to present ideas on 'how to survive primary school' through each year group- Year 1 through to Year 6!
Do you have some particularly funny memories that you can recall during your time 'surviving' primary school? Perhaps they involved yourself and a few friends, maybe it involved a teacher/principal?
We want you to think back to some memories that we could use to explain what to 'DO' and 'NOT DO' in these year groups in order to 'survive' primary school-like you have!
Songs Through the Years
Each skit will be accompanied by a classic hit song from each year. You will use this song to dance onto the stage and be in character. The dancing will not be choreographed, but it will be you 'in character' jigging around to each theme song to take your place on stage...And then you will freeze in place ready to start your acting.
The BIG Dance Off!
We will be dancing as the whole Year 6 cohort to Wednesday Adam's dance popular dance scene.
BUT...We don't want you happy about it... We want you dressed in black, with sullen faces (like Wednesday's)...As if you are TOO COOL FOR SCHOOL now that you are in Year 6!
