To tie in with 'Book Week' coming up this year, we will be analysing a favourite novel. The book can be YOUR choice and needs to be a a story which you are fond of. If it isnt a tale you resonate with, you wont do the 'one pager' assignment justice.
So, what is a one-pager? Well, it's pretty simple, really. Students design a single A4 page of paper featuring key elements of their favourite book. The final copy needs to be eye catching and hopefully encourage other people to read their chosen novel too.
Using quotations, students own words, drawings, symbols, and colours, they highlight important themes, symbols, moments and characters on the page.
A one-pager's purpose is to connect your thoughts and ideas creatively. Students may use black marker, fineliner and coloured pencils/textas for their creations. This is a hand written piece of work, so everything needs to be extremely neat!
