This lesson is all about a very important date in Australia's history.
Important dates in history can mean different things for different people. For some people, this date marks an important date in the history of Australia's exploration by Europeans. But for other people, especially our Indigenous community it marks a day of great sadness.
April 29th 2020 was the 250th anniversary since Captain Cook landed at Botany Bay in Sydney. This was the first time an English sailor had landed on the East Coast of Australia. Our artwork is a picture of his famous ship the HMS Endeavour.
